Comparison and Storage Stability of Biodiesels from Expired oils

Transesterification of expired vegetable oils is possible by heating them with a significant amount methanol and an acidic or basic catalyst to improve the reaction rate yield. In this study 4 samples have been selected, including types oils, namely: soybean, sunflower, rapeseed, pumpkin seed. The operative conditions were time (4 h), concentration (1 w/wt %), oil-to-methanol molar ratio (6:1). parameters studied compare quality biodiesel obtained each type compound are: yield, pH, density, acid value. results shows that seed positive effect on increasing yield Soybean biodiesels as well blends based Soybean, Sunflower rapeseed. This paper examines also degradation several biofuels in comparison fossil fuels (Diesel gasoline) different storage over 9 Weeks period. Results indicated that: High temperature combined lighting strongly enhances phenomenon. value (HM) rapidly at 0.91 mg KOH/g /Week. pH diesel has experienced strong decrease 66%. Diesel, Diesel degrades from terms Acid Value, Density.
